A hundred and fifty years ago a builder named William Baker moved to Danbury. He shared the good news about Jesus with his neighbours and started a church.
That church, Danbury Mission, has continued as it began; sharing the unchanging message of the Bible to an ever-changing world.
Five years ago Danbury Mission began planning to start a new church in Chelmsford.
The city is growing rapidly and only 3% of its 170,000 residents belong to a church! In 2018, Jimmie Massie was hired to lead that new church. In 2019 the new church took the name City Church Chelmsford and 33 adults committed to join.
